It’s now day 3. Let us pray to the Lord and give thanks for the countless provision in this amazing land of Wyoming!
We pray for the workers of the natural resource industry and their families!
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17 NIV
Yes Lord we seek Your favor! In our actions to pursue good stewardship of this lands resources, rest on us Lord. We ask that You set the standard by which we work. Put us to Your commands of faithfully working this earth. May we find joy in the provision! As we look down at our hands… we surrender them to You. Establish the work of these hands, guide them.
“Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.” Proverbs 12:11 NIV
We pray these words in harmony Lord with a community who has specialized training over natural resources. We pray for times when household incomes suffer because of those who chase fantasies of nonsense. We pray for those making decisions that have an adverse affect in our homes. May they be obedient to the whispers of the Holy Spirit. May we all trust in Your perfect and accurate provision.
“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23 NIV
Lord every vocation has its trials. But just because it becomes difficult doesn’t mean we give up or accept mediocrity, give us reminders to not give up. We pray for the actions taken in the boardroom. May they align us to Your will.
And Lord we pray for the safety of every single worker who operates equipment, who enters a mine or drills a well. May the full force of Your Holy Spirit reside in their personal protective equipment. May patience guide decisions. May wits be sharp in times of crisis. Lord keep the equipment working properly for safety’s sake.
Thank you for the men and women who work hard to provide for their homes.
The time for change has come. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
