County 8 – Platte County

This month, as we pray over Platte County, let us not forget the 5,457 people who claim “none” as their religion or are not connected to a Jesus centered church.

Let us pray for all the students and teachers of Platte County School Districts 1 and 2, and for the leaders and attenders of all the Jesus centered churches in Wheatland and its surrounding communities. May God continue to raise up leaders and connect churches from Platte County to the I Heart Wyoming Initiative. May we elevate, expand and reinforce the credibility of God’s church in the state of Wyoming.

Our Father, our Lord, our counselor;

May Your will be done. May Your will be done even if it’s difficult for us to walk in it. Fears grip us. Selfishness consumes our decision. Anxiety rises and attempts to suppress our knowledge of You.

But You! You are God! You hold everything! You hold us Lord! Please hold us Lord. In the shadows of our decisions You illuminate a path. We refuse. You reveal. We ignore. You inspire. We run. You chase. We lack self esteem. You motivate.

Thy will be done. Push us Lord. Use the Holy Spirit to nudge us, at the same time call us to You, draw us further towards You. Affect our spiritual movement with a push and a pull. Thy will be done. And when we tremble in the thought of “not me” ……Thy will be done.

Increase our stance, double our conviction. Teach us to stand firm. In this regard, make us stubborn in Your will, that we decide within ourselves we will not waiver from Your truths. Lord what we do today will matter to the children that come after us.

Teach us how to pray those tough prayers. Take the words we read from the Bible and put it up in our mind as we pray. Let us seek You in prayer for the future. We choose to worship You!

“You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭NLT‬

With each tick of the clock, You keep us moving. As the second hand turns around the day, You steady the progress.

As the seeds from You get planted, You grow them in time. Or – I could pass on the fruit of my bad decisions. Generations I will never see could eat of either of these fruits. Help me to decide, which fruit do I want them to eat. The one that You say to eat, or the one I could potentially scheme? Thy will be done.

The time for change has come. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
