A new day has begun! A new opportunity exists in the shadows of the day! May our claim of Jesus cast a new light over those shadows. You are Lord, Jesus, You are Lord of all! You are the light!
Let us sing shouts of joy! Hosanna in the highest! Our voices will carry our worship of You outward! May the sound of joy reverberate in the echo of our life’s song! We bring our worship to You! Our singing is a release of joy!
In Fremont County we see that there are at least 26,930 people who have yet to claim a church. Fill the lives of unattenders with a joy that comes from You through the local church. Increase the impact of the church on the community. Expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of Your church in this county and throughout Wyoming. Increase the attendance.
“Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord; it is fitting for the pure to praise him. Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre; make music for him on the ten-stringed harp. Sing a new song of praise to him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy. For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.” Psalms 33:1-5 NLT
Lord, there’s something about singing?! What happens in our mind, our heart, our soul? I’ve seen a driver in the car over belting out lyrics of what was feeding through the speakers. The cliche of song in the shower, the A cappella while a chore is being done or the ever present “love is in the air” verbalized in song to all around.
At some point Lord we’ve all done it, private or not, we’ve done it. We’ve all had the air-microphone in our hand. There’s an exercise within singing that draws joy out of our soul. It’s as if You placed a method within our soul, a means by which our worship has a way to be released. Singing releases an energy that allows our joy to come out.
Until we understand a truth, a truth that our soul longs to worship You, our singing won’t be honoring to You. For centuries Creation has been using its creative ability to express, but let us not be confused by what our soul is trying to do, our soul is trying to get its worship out!
So when I am down – I will sing! When I am troubled – I will sing! When I am celebrating – I will sing! When evil is trying to remind me of what its capable of – I WILL SING! I will sing my life to the You and let my voice deliver my souls joy to You O Great Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!
The time for change in our communities has come. In Jesus name we pray, amen!
