O what joy awaits those who have yet to discover You Lord Jesus! Could today be the day? Is it today Lord? Allow the joy that comes from You to illuminate their life!
How do those of us who believe, fit in that? Motivate us Lord! Gather us into a unified collective, all pursuing the joys of Your Word! May that joy resonate in our daily life! It’s You Lord! It’s You we celebrate! We are so fortunate to have a belief that sees us through. Why can’t everyone have that Lord! If the unattenders could just see and understand – the joy that’s in those who believe, and why it’s there! May the opportunities that exist be visible to those who are prepared! May the joy in You be shared abundantly! Praise You Lord!
Lord we pray! We ask for You to intercede in the lives of those who don’t attend a church in Crook County. Use the believers of this county to influence the at least 5,216 people who have not claimed a church. May our joy in You fill the atmosphere around us.
“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:1-5 NLT
Joy comes easy when things run smooth. But as soon as a season turns into trial, joy becomes less available to our thoughts. Lord, in this way our faith reminds me of a muscle that must be strengthened. We need to exercise it. We need to flex it. We need to stretch it to its maximum potential.
The absence of joy indicates the strength of darkness. Darkness is like a muck that we have to wade through. Our pursuits are resisted in this darkness. The air is heavy, and it takes all our effort to force a confidence. But Your Word is like a boost of power to our faith muscle. It’s vitamins feed and produce a power within this muscle. I see it Lord! Resistance is a force of strengthening! Praise You Lord!
Now, as our faith muscle grows we can see our joy in You become more abundant and frequent! Praise You Lord! You are with us! Where is joy missing in our lives? Work? Home?
Push us Lord! Strengthen us, then push our faith to the place of unattenders in order to reveal Your glory!
The time for change in our communities has come. In Jesus name we pray, amen!
