We will always want to choose to avoid going through the hard stuff in life. While this is certainly a hopeful pursuit, it will not be reality. Hard stuff in life will happen. Avoiding circumstance will never allow us opportunity to gain trust in Jesus and it won’t award us character building strategies. If all we ever do is hope for a positive outcome, then our hope will become the foundation of what we “feel” should be a favorable outcome. Jesus’s standards will be replaced with our expectations of the circumstance. So when the outcome becomes unfavorable, we lose sight of what our purpose in the circumstance was, thus losing any cause to celebrate.
Let us pray; Lord we seek You as our standard of living. We ask that You use every circumstance to build our character into what YOU see as desirable. We ask for a full measure perseverance and fortitude. We ask that the church body bond have a Holy Spirit powered grip so that nothing escapes our lack of will power. Give us a sense of responsibility within the circumstance. Remind us of Your will for us. With each effort turning into action and each action revealing Your will, we will walk in anticipation of the coming victory!
You are Lord! We are not! Praise You Lord! Praise You! Never once have we ever walked alone! You are Faithful! God You are Faithful!
Lord, as the foundations of our life are being laid, where are we? Is our mind, body and soul truly present and on purpose in each circumstance? Or are we allowing the customs and behaviors of this world to navigate for us?
““Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?” Job 38:4-7 NLT
Give us a spirit likened to the angels! Let this spirit echo from Sheridan County and throughout Wyoming. O’Sovereign Lord, You cause things to come together! You work good into our lives! Let us sing songs of praises! Let shout for joy and celebrate who You are!
We celebrate You O’Sovereign Lord! Help us seek the change we need! In Jesus name we pray, amen!
