Our Father, our Lord, our God – we praise You for all the wonderful things You do. Our growth lies in You!
Before growth occurs, You provide the seed. You bless each one of us with a seed. Lord, You take that seed and You grow it into what You’ve planned long ago. That seed is planted deep within the soil of our soul. Then as the roots begin to sprout, You call the roots to You. We see Lord, this is a precious process that requires a special measurement of time unique to the seed that was planted.
Our Lord! The One who is in charge of the harvest, there are those in which this process has already taken place. Use these deep rooted ones to stand firm (linking branches) as they protect the ones still currently in this precious time of growth.
“Companions as we are in this work with you, we beg you, please don’t squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us. God reminds us, I heard your call in the nick of time; The day you needed me, I was there to help. Well, now is the right time to listen, the day to be helped. Don’t put it off; don’t frustrate God’s work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we’re doing. Our work as God’s servants gets validated—or not—in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly… in hard times, tough times, bad times; when we’re beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating; with pure heart, clear head, steady hand; in gentleness, holiness, and honest love; when we’re telling the truth, and when God’s showing his power; when we’re doing our best setting things right; when we’re praised, and when we’re blamed; slandered, and honored; true to our word, though distrusted; ignored by the world, but recognized by God; terrifically alive, though rumored to be dead; beaten within an inch of our lives, but refusing to die; immersed in tears, yet always filled with deep joy; living on handouts, yet enriching many; having nothing, having it all.
Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I’ll be a Father to you; you’ll be sons and daughters to me.” The Word of the Master, God.” 2 Corinthians 6:1-18 MSG
Now Lord, we plead with You! Call the deep rooted ones to become a Living Fence, standing firm in protection of those in whom the seed grows! Call the seeds with wandering roots to get rooted into You, we need them to link branches together in unity, in this – You can spread new seeds!
Lord, teach us we are not here to fence people in, but rather we are a fence that’s alive and growing! A fence that stands firm to protect the seeds that You have planted! You have a beautiful way of shedding seeds off trees in nature in order for new ones to be planted, allow Your church to do the same Lord! We will be that church Lord! We will stand firm, deeply rooted in You, and protect the seeds that You scatter!
Lord, while the deep rooted church of Wyoming is standing firm, call the seeds to a healthy place of growth. Grow them up strong and tall, so that their perspective rises above and can see the beautiful expanse of Your church in Wyoming. From the tree tops we will see how beautiful and wonderful Your church in Wyoming is!
WE THE CHURCH, WILL BE A LIVING FENCE!
We pray for the 6,841 people who have yet to connect into a gospel church in this county. We pray with those connected through Wilderness Church! May our Lord expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church in this county.
We pray for the approximately 340,572 seeds scattered throughout Wyoming. Who truly knows the number? You do Lord! Spread the seeds of Your Gospel throughout this amazing land we call Wyoming!
The season for us to allow His seed to grow has come, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
