Lord You sought me when I didn’t even know I needed to be sought. Who is this loving God, this Creator of everything, that seeks me?
No matter where we live, at times the human spirit can feel as if it’s cold and sharp. The world around us doesn’t hesitate to give us a reality check. But Your light warms us and shines far!
“the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”” Matthew 4:16 NLT
But before I consciously sought You, You drew my soul towards You:
The bite is quickly diminished, as a kiss from the morning sun touches my check. I’m soon inside the envelope of its light and I discover truth within its warmth.
“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”” John 8:12 NLT
Our beautiful Lord! How Great You are! Your invitation blankets the coldness and illuminates our heart!
“for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”” Ephesians 5:14 NLT
Our eyes are opened in Your light! My Lord, I find peace in You; There’s a better me in You; my mind is no longer asleep in darkness. Just as the sun comes up and dawns a new day, so too can Your Gospel!
We pray that Your Gospel touches each and everyone of us, unique to the individual receiving it. Lord we do not accept that over 80% of our state does not participate in the Gospel! But in one simple act, You can alter the course of our future! A future with You in the center! Create moments where You touch us all!
Lord we pray for the I Heart Wyoming partner in Laramie County, Frontier United Methodist. We pray for the 55,132 people who have yet to claim a church in this county. May You Lord, expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church in this county.
As the river flows, so the time has come for the current to carry us. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
