County 16 – Johnson County

Our Father, Your providence is the glue that holds us together and tightly to You. May we continually seek Your will for each of us, as in the will You’ve assigned to each individual. May we trust You to organize the respective wills into one purpose to glorify You.

When we are alone, we are susceptible to attack. What attack? Many varieties. Attack from an evil source, attack from a human spirit, or attack from an enemy within the mind.

“Again, I observed all the acts of oppression being done under the sun. Look at the tears of those who are oppressed; they have no one to comfort them. Power is with those who oppress them; they have no one to comfort them.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Lord, at times, each of us experience some sort of oppression. For some, the oppression is coming from an evil and sinister source. For others, the oppression might be coming from ones mind, because of the practices we keep or don’t keep, the very actions we are taking are oppressing ourselves.

For both, our souls cry out! Give us the ability to interpret the language one is communicating with. I would just humbly request Lord (we know You look at our tears) but let us remember to weep with those who weep.

“…and weep with those who weep.” Romans‬ ‭12:15‬b NLT‬‬

Being alone is no way to be.

“Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up. Also, if two lie down together, they can keep warm; but how can one person alone keep warm? And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9-12‬ ‭CSB‬‬

There is power in numbers Lord. So, if there is power in numbers, then the power of Your Word is a super power. What kind of good would form when those two are combined in the unifying spirit of a body pursuing to glorify You?

“Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.” Romans‬ ‭12:21‬ ‭CSB‬‬

My Lord, because of You, we are many parts of one body. I ask the question; if it happens to one, the others must sense or at least get spiritually affected? If my back hurts, the rest of my body will either suffer, or other parts work harder to offset the deficiency, placing a strain on those parts.

But the power of Your Word in Your Body is healing! It heals the body! Lord, increase the body! Add more to it! For we hear the cries of the oppressed! Send Your Advocate to tell them the body is coming soon and to fervently wait for us to arrive. Soothe their pains and get us to a place that we may assist You in binding the wounds of the body!

Build the body up by the providence in Your sovereignty. Grant us (the body) the patience to travel at the speed of Holy Spirit!

May the name of the Lord Jesus Christ be forever praised!

Lord we thank You for the members of the body who reside in Johnson County. We thank for the hard working staff at Summit Church in Buffalo. May Your blessings continue to shower upon them.
