It’s hard to see through sin. The shroud of darkness hangs heavy over the soul. But in the bleakness of this view, a faint light can find its way in.
Thank You Lord for illuminating us with Your Light! Thank You for the mercy and grace You extend! Your love, mercy, grace, and patience are the radiant beams of light that shine from You – our Risen Son!
Your light is powerful! In darkness what does one focus on? The blackness of space, or the one source of light that can’t be ignored? One cannot be in dark and not notice a source of light.
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus! We praise You! We believe You! We claim You! We love You! We share You!
We thank You for the people of Teton County and everyone in Wyoming! Thank You for shining Your light of grace over us. Thank You for the blessings embedded in a community rich with You. We seek Your will county by county, through each county, with each county, for each county. We are many parts of one body and we all belong to each other.
Your will seeks us. We in turn seek Your will. Obedience in Your Word uses love to increase the source of light shining. Light does not exist without love, and truth will be shrouded in darkness without knowledge of how the two are connected.
“Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before. Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining. If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves a fellow believer is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. But anyone who hates a fellow believer is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness. I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus. I am writing to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I am writing to you who are young in the faith because you have won your battle with the evil one. I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one. Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.” 1 John 2:6-17 NLT
Love illuminates! Your love for us brightens the atmosphere through us. Darkness is extinguished in the sharing of Your love. Love for each other uses light as truth. Truth is revealed in the light of grace. In this way love uses truth to connect us to You.
Its hard to see through sin. The darkness of sin hides the true beauty that lies within each human created. Man was created in Your image. But in the darkness of sin, we can’t see what light You have placed within another. The light of Your love illuminates what we couldn’t see through sin. Let us learn to live in light!
We give You all praise Lord Jesus!
We pray for the 15,750 people who have yet to connect into a gospel church in this county. We pray for everyone connected through Ridgelife Church in Jackson Wyoming. May they find peace in Christ Jesus. May our Lord expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church in Teton County.
Because of love – thy will be done, amen.
