Love should be our highest goal! Always! It’s You Lord, that have set the precedent for this! You are the Leader! You are who we follow! We will build our life upon Your love, it is a firm foundation. We will put our trust in You alone!
What happens Lord when one person, just one, makes love their highest goal? What kind of impact would the Holy Spirit have through even just one?
Because of You, I’ve seen this exact thing through my own mother. An amazing person who is relentless at putting the care and concern of others before her own interest. I’ve seen a legacy of love from her unfold before my very eyes over the course of decades. It’s the kind of love one can feel in a moment but it takes a lifetime of care to truly see it the size of it.
My mother has impacted countless lives in her life. People she met 50 years ago will still talk about the love she has. To her, it doesn’t matter if you are related by blood or not, love is love, and it matters, always.
“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT
One person can absolutely make a difference! That’s a glimpse at the power of the Holy Spirit.
So my faith in You has brought me to a bold question; what if a neighborhood made love their highest goal, what if it was a community, what if it was a whole town… what if a whole state made love their highest goal?
What would the world think if they saw the entire state of Wyoming making love their highest goal? This love would spill over into the adjoining states, it would be seen and heard of from around the globe! The smallest population with highest expectation of love. True love that comes from the only source that can make it correct, You!
You made our state with beautiful display, but You made our people with beautiful purpose! A love that big would confound the enemy. People would be drawn to You because of this love!
Everything comes from You and exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory! All glory to You forever!
Let us pray through with and for the people of Converse County today! Let us celebrate what the Lord is doing through the amazing churches in this community! Let us come together as a body and ask the Lord to provide encouragement and appropriate blessings to the pastors and the spouses of pastors, let us come before the Lord and trust Him with healing our afflicted, let us come before Him with praise in our hearts!
We pray for the 9,963 people who have yet to connect into a gospel church in this county. We pray with those at Douglas Assembly of God, may the blessings of the Lord fill their actions. May God continue to expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church in this county.
The time to seek His care has come. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
