Today we pray with, and for the people of Wyoming through Crook County. May our state continue to receive the peace found in Christ! May the faithful find the courage to answer the call of the Lord to love as He has taught us. May the pastors of our state be overwhelmed by the encouragement they receive by watching their communities come together in the Lord Jesus! Fill our cups Lord!
The education of one can effect a multitude.
Lord we enter Your gates with thanksgiving! Thank You for putting the disciplines of leadership in place. Thank You for the safety found in wisdom. Thank You for the growth that comes from grace when it’s in union with wisdom.
““At that time Moses was born—a beautiful child in God’s eyes. His parents cared for him at home for three months. When they had to abandon him, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and raised him as her own son. Moses was taught all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in both speech and action.” Acts of the Apostles 7:20-22 NLT
Growing up in Egypt, Moses would have been exposed to the most advanced academics of the era. He would’ve been intimate in the knowledge of science, architecture, civil leadership, and administrative duties.
His education enabled him to lead! His education afforded him to take a nation into the expanse of wide open freedom!
Moses never pursued education to leave a legacy, but the education he had itself certainly left a lasting affect. His education may have allowed him to lead, but it was his pursuits that brought many to freedom. Education was the means, not the goal.
So Lord, we pray for sincere pursuits to be placed into the education we receive. We pray that we see accountability as a shield, not a weapon. Knowledge doesn’t make one wise, letting grace guide our knowledge does. We pray that we find purpose in what we learn, whether it be – sheet music, mathematics, welding, diagnosing, or chemistry! Education will fall flat without You as our driving force Lord.
So let us not be stubborn in heart and deaf to the truth. May our pride relinquish control to promise!
We pray for a connection through the I Heart Wyoming initiative. We pray for the 5,216 people who have yet to connect with a gospel church in this county. May God continue to expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church in this county.
The time for growth through education has come. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
