Our King! Our Messiah!
Lord Jesus, You came to this earth! You walked among us, You brought heaven to us! And now we get to participate in this glory! You welcome us into this Kingdom!
Thank You Jesus for the opportunity to glorify You everyday!
Today we pray with, and for the people of Wyoming through Washakie County. We pray for the 4,507 people in this county who have yet to connect into a gospel church. We pray for a partner to establish through the I Heart Wyoming initiative. May our Lord expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church in this county.
Everyone has that season, a season of despair. For some, it may seem to span a lifetime. Like a magnet, darkness pulls the truth from our mind. Rational thinking is replaced with feelings. Emotions of the day grip the heart and leave one wondering, is this it, of all the greatness that has been displayed on this earth, is this what its come down to. “My life comes down to this reality?”.
But as the Son comes up, a new day dawns.
“Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.” Isaiah 9:1-2 NLT
The brightness of the Son brings things to bloom. The multitude grow, and new things birth. The faithful increase! Like never before, a community expands to the point of unity, forged by the light of truth. “Point of views” see the same thing in the light. Paths of escape are revealed in order for expansion to occur. With darkness dissipated, celebration ensues.
“You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder. For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian. The boots of the warrior and the uniforms bloodstained by war will all be burned. They will be fuel for the fire.” Isaiah 9:3-5 NLT
Hope becomes the fuel that powers a new light – the flame of hope. That flame will now forge a new identity, one of freedom. The memories of despair are now just that, memories. They now serve as a reminder of what once was in the absence of light. The rising of the Son brings new life to us all.
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!” Isaiah 9:6-7 NLT
We give You all praise! A King is born! Because of this birth we are welcomed into a Kingdom far beyond our imagination!
O come let us adore Him! O come let us adore Him! Christ our Lord!
The time of discovering our birth in You has begun. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
