Being complete or feeling whole, is something our soul longs for. During conception our soul experienced a holiness from the Lord as He knitted us perfectly in the womb. He watched each stitch be sewn with purpose, and each outer stitch was left open to be sewn into someone else’s collection of stitches to form a more complete fabric.
Until our conscience enters an awareness of this, our soul will continue to seek being complete and whole. Being disconnected from the Body will instill a posture that pushes us to grieve the absence, there is a specific void that can only be filled by being many as one connected to Jesus.
Let us take the next 23 days to ask the Lord to give us an awareness that comes by being connected to His Body. As the toe has nothing to do with the ear, they are connected by the blood, so to are we. Let us seek to understand the completeness and wholeness that our soul longs for.
Father in Heaven, we give You all praise! We thank You for the blessings in our life. Your presence among a people is a blessing to all around. The benefits don’t stop, they flow through one community and into another.
We are many parts of one body. Each part specifically designed with purpose. In the harmony of humanity we can find a chorus that sings praises to the Lord!
As we serve in one mind, in one body, we come to a new level, an elevated level of awareness. In the collection of who we are in Christ, we glorify Him by fulfilling the special gifts each of us were knitted with. The pursuits of the Body become the praise, the actions become the worship.
“In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.” Romans 12:4-5 MSG
It will be our connection to each other that will bring us into an inheritance beyond anything that we have ever understood before.
Lord! You are the bonding agent that holds us together. You’ve knitted us perfectly in the womb, and You can also knit us together as one fabric. From person to person, congregation to congregation, church to church, community to community, may You connect us as one body seeking completeness with You!
Today we pray with, and for the people of Wyoming through Natrona County. We pray the Good News You bring finds its way into every mind! We pray for the 47,670 people in Natrona County who have yet to connect into a gospel church in this county. May they continue to find truth in churches like, Casper Faith and Restoration Church. May our Lord expand, elevate and reinforce the credibility of the local church.
The time to be connected as one has come, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
